It’s been interesting watching this whole Fallon Fox conversation unfold. There’s those who are trying to be as understanding as possible while still weighing the safety implications, then the people who are jumping to say it’s okay because Acceptance, and then the crowd that thinks it’s patently ridiculous on its face that a former man should be allowed to fight a woman in a cage. Regardless of which position you take, I think we can all agree that it’s a consciousness expanding topic. I don’t think a lot of us expected to know this much about transgendered people last month, and shedding some light on topics like this can only be good.

But it is a learning experience and as we try to vocalize these new thoughts and opinions, we don’t always do them in the most sensitive of manners. Joe Rogan got a lot of flack for his “Hells to the no” approach to the topic, and Dana White was called an ‘ignorant jerk’ for calling Fox a he instead of a her. Sorry he got it wrong, folks. This is probably the first time he’s ever had a conversation about a transgendered individual, so maybe cutting him some slack is appropriate? I doubt he was actively trying to be said ignorant jerk, which is more than I can say for ‘comedian and columnist’ Steven Crowder in this article on

Let me paint you a picture: your daughter is playing a contact sport. Say, football or hockey. She’s gone from being your little girl to becoming a beautiful young woman. Opposite her on the field (or ice), is somebody who once was a man, until he decided that he didn’t feel like being one anymore.

This person can now legally, physically attack your daughter.

This makes liberals rejoice. How progressive.

Enter Fallon Fox, a male-to-female transgendered person, who has now decided to make a living by beating up women. With a record of 2-0, none of Fallon’s female victims have even made it past two minutes of the first round.  If you were to watch these fights, it would look very much like you would expect…a man knocking a woman unconscious.

In the name of political correctness, leftists have come out championing the cause, as Fallon ragdolls female opponents into oblivion.

And so it goes for several more paragraphs. First, I just wanna point out how hilarious it is to see this all being angled as a leftist liberal progressive plot to shove the LGBT agenda down Amurica’s throat. Thanks, Obama. Nothing unoriginal or overused about that trope on FOX News at all. And then there’s the casual dismissal of Fallon Fox’s decision to become a woman, a shoddy understanding of how steroids work, and a willful ignorance of the known facts regarding the bone density and overall musculature of transgendered women. Who’d have thought an article on FOX News would be light on facts but heavy on blowhard opinions?

But maybe I’m being too hard on Crowder. The guy is a ‘comedian’, not and endocrinologist. He doesn’t have the several years worth of steroid expertise you get from following MMA news to help him out, and he also thinks Donald Trump and George Bush are great. That sets the intellectual bar pretty low, and even then he didn’t go so far as to be a total shitheel bigot towards transgenders. Under those mounds of golden wit he just asks the same question many of us are: is it safe to allow male to female transgendered people to fight women in cage fighting? A question I think needs more research before we can answer. But until then, thank Baby Jesus we have this useful Left / Right dichotomy so we know which side to cheer for. *eye roll*
