There’s no need to rehash the whole UFC 151 fiasco. We all know the sordid tale by now. The basic gist is that Dana White is pissed at EVERYONE because they had to cancel the event and the UFC lost a shitload of money – everyone except himself for putting forth such a shit card that is, but let us not argue the petty details because everyone knows that somehow, in the end, this will all be Steve Mazzagatti’s fault. The point is that Dana’s anger is leading towards a bad decision. MMAFighting reports that White is planning on making a fight between Dan Henderson and Lyoto Machida to determine the next number one contender.

“[Machida] should have taken the fight. We’ve seen it, history always repeats itself. Look how long it took Rashad (Evans) to fight for the title again. So you wanted to fight Jon Jones, you climbed up to the title fight and you don’t take it. Now you’re fighting (expletive) Dan Henderson. Now you might not even get to the (expletive) title again. You lose to Dan Henderson you’re not anywhere near Jon Jones.”

Dana is pissed at both Machida – for turning down the Jones fight, and Henderson – for not telling him about his injury sooner. That’s fine. He’s allowed to be pissed. And it’s not like Machida vs Henderson isn’t a pretty cool fight. It is. But lest we forget that Henderson was the last feasible challenge to Jon Jones’ supremacy and the prospect of 205 becoming a dull division presided over by a dull, albeit dominant champion.

Jones already made Machida his ho. He choked him into nothingness and allowed his flaccid body to crumble to the floor as he walked away unscathed. The only reason Machida was next in line was because Jones already pimp-slapped everyone else. What sense does it make to take the one guy Jones hasn’t whooped – Henderson, and put him against a tricky fighter who’s difficult to hit who can very well beat him? Yep, Machida may very well win that fight. Then where are we? A stupid Jones/Machida rematch instead of an awesome Jones/Henderson fight, that’s where. We must stand united to prevent this calamity.

If you’re so inclined to join the movement, please feel free to Twitter-bomb the fuck out of Dana at and let him know that much like when you got that new job – and instead of just giving two weeks and going quietly you decided to depart immediately after telling your boss you finger-banged his wife as she blew you at the Christmas party, then shortly thereafter found yourself in dire need of a paycheck – that decisions made out of anger are usually the wrong ones. More than likely he will either ignore us or tell us to eat a bag of dicks, but never forget, the internet exploded with calls of bullshit when Dana announced the winner of Shogun/Vera as the number one contender, and he changed course. He’s brash, but he’s a smart businessman who supplies what his customers demand.
