You’d think considering Zuffa kinda sorta BOUGHT the IFL, they’d have done a better chance of landing all their star fighters. But so far, that hasn’t been the case. Day after day there’s been boring news I haven’t bothered to ‘report’ regarding name after name from the IFL’s roster going elsewhere. Sure, the UFC has landed some no name guys from the company. But dudes like Roy “Fat Fuck” Nelson, Chris Horodecki, Vladimir Matyushenko, Jay Hieron, and Ryan Schultz have all fucked off elsewhere thus far.
Well, you can score one for the WEC now: they’ve brought in the unfortunately named Bart Palaszewski, who should be a decent addition to their lightweight division. That nearly sums up all the dudes of note, with only Wagnney Fabiano left to fight over.
Honestly, I’d say Fabiano is the only guy Zuffa should really be gunning for. While it’d be nice to have some of the other dudes in their organizations, it’s not like Roy Nelson would have signalled the UFC Heavyweight division’s return to glory or anything. Fabiano is one of those guys who was so good, it frustrated everyone that we weren’t going to be seeing him fight the best. It’s dudes like this that the UFC has to lock up when they get the chance. The rest you can let Affliction pay too much for.
