Zuffa donates to Republicans

Oh great … the company I love (and yes, despite all my shitting on them, I do love them) is in bed with the fucking republicans: they’re contributing big bucks to the presidential campaign of Rudy “9/11” Giuliani.

Luke Thomas didn’t have the testicular fortitude to split his readership down the middle and piss people off by saying anything substantial about this, but I’m not nearly as smart or reasonable as he is. So here we go: anyone who thinks Rudy Giuliani is anything but a complete fucking cocksucker can lick my anus (do it quick because it’ll probably become illegal if Rudy wins the election).

Here’s the fucking deal: Democrats are more liberal about shit like sex, drugs, rock’n’roll … and even mixed martial arts. Republicans have a history of being tight assed nosey fucks who want to get in on everything and ruin everyone’s fun in the name of Jesus Christ and all that bullshit. Rudy Giuliani exemplifies this … he literally destroyed nightlife and urban culture in New York City during his tenure as mayor. He’s like the antithesis of fun.

HOWEVER, Republicans are also a lot easier to buy off than Democrats and while they’re ‘all about’ family values and against bloodsports on the surface, most of them are massive hypocrites that will sell their values out for ringside seats and a campaign contribution.

So I guess it makes sense for Zuffa to buy him out because unlike a democrat who will stick with their moral convictions if they think mixed martial arts has become unsafe, Rudy will stick to the talking points and keep shilling no matter what.

Cripes, Giuliani is a tool and a half. The only reason he has any cred is because of 9/11, and if you actually pay attention, you realize he did fuck-all except pose for magazine covers and take credit for shit he didn’t do. Let’s just ignore the rest of his bass-ackwards policies during the pre-9/11 parts of his mayoral reign.

    Growr. Bad Zuffa.

  • Xavier says:

Uh, Rudy Guiliani isn’t your typical republican. He’s pro-abortion, for chrissakes. He’s also liberal on the gay’s, so your anus licking is pretty safe for now. If he doesn’t win the Republican nomination, it’ll be entirely due to the fact that Christian Fundamentalists won’t support him. They’re the real evil in America. Otherwise, it’s always amusing when people pretend that there’s any tangible difference between the democrats and the republicans.

On topic: I also wouldn’t be surprised if Zuffa wasn’t donating to a Democrat as a counter-balance… most companies will pick a democrat and a republican to donate to, in order to avoid being picked on by either side once they gain power. Time had a great article about this a couple years ago with a bunch of CEO’s speaking anonymously about the “need” of donating to both parties so you don’t get completely fucked over by them once they get into power.

At the end of the day, Zuffa needs to do things like this and start picking candidates to support in order to turn themselves into a form of a political lobby. That way people like John McCain (remember him? He’s running for Prez too, ‘Linker) are less apt to fuck with them if he gets into power. Precisely why companies buy “protection” like this to begin with… American political parties as they relate to companies has much in common with the mob as they relate to storefronts.

Also remember Linker you may say the end of New York culture, but if anything Giuliani with the helped of Bratton made Time Square safe. Now we all know you would jump two feet in and condom in tow for any red light district, but that was not Time Square was suppose to become. It was suppose to represent a symbol of New York not HO’ Opolis. So if reducing murders, rape, muggings, and over all Bankruptcy, cough “New York 1970’s 80’s cough, then by all mean Giuliani did well for himself. Finally, if you knock a few heads, then you knock a few heads, “Mafia”. All I am saying, take a deeper look into what New York was, and you will have better understanding.

who wants to read this shite here?

those fucking fertitta brothers are just covering their bases, like any evil, global-domination mutherfuckin’ corporation would. go to http://www.opensecrets.org (which tracks all political donations in the u.s.) and search for lorenzo or frank f’s donations for this year. lorenzo has donated the maximum to hillary clinton and harry reid in 2007 as well. his brother looks like the more hardcore republican but has also donated to reid, and dana hasn’t given shit this year.

but again, who wants to even read that crap here anyway mate?

this just in: millionaires donate money to Republican party

  • I’m about as Republican as you can get and I love MMA. And John McCain is more liberal than most republicans and he’s the guy that banned UFC from PPV. I hate that guy. I just want to make sure our MMA now and in the future isn’t blown up by a terrorist nuke. We’ll all be doing our own form of MMA in our backyards fighting off Osama Jr’s if Hillary or Obama get elected – trust me.

  • Mr. Theplague says:

I’m not reading any of the goddamn essay posts, but yeah the republicans are creepy Jesus freaks. Maybe they’re trying to avert what happened with Mcain, which pretty much excuses donating to that assclown.

  • Accomando says:

“…this just in: millionaires donate money to Republican party…”

This just in, billionaires donate to the democratic party (Soros, Turner, Buffett)

  • Mr. Theplague says:

Oh, and that Clinton bitch wouldn’t be liberal and cool about mixed martial arts, she’d go censorship crazy just like Tipper Gore.

  • Joe Son says:

Rudy may be the reason that Times Square is safe and the reason that I haven’t been mugged, but he’s also the reason I can’t afford to live in Manhattan. By the way, did you guys know he was mayor during 9/11?

  • Republicans are:
    – People that are middle class or upper class that work every day whether they have much money or not.
    – People that are Christians (I don’t fall into this category)

    Democrats are:
    – People that are rich and have never worked a hard day in their life
    – People that are not rich and don’t want to work a hard day in their life
    – People that work in the higher education system that think that a communist utopia just needs one more good try to succeed this time.
    – People that hate Christians

  • Mr. Theplague says:

Fightlinker, please delete this whole thread for the good of the site. Seriously.

  • Mobb Deep says:

Thats some nice researching Foreskin Face Pete

I have a feeling Zuffa is giving money to Rudy to help them get MMA legal in New York.

  • Teflon says:

They are a corporation. They have donated to Hillary Clinton AND Harry Reid. And your description of the two parties are shit. Also it was the Democrats who helped rail against the UFC along with republican John McCain. Also the democrats are the leading party for video game censorship. The republicans aren’t any better, and that is what sucks. They are both 2 sides of the same coin.

  • Xavier says:

“those fucking fertitta brothers are just covering their bases, like any evil, global-domination mutherfuckin’ corporation would. go to http://www.opensecrets.org (which tracks all political donations in the u.s.) and search for lorenzo or frank f’s donations for this year. lorenzo has donated the maximum to hillary clinton and harry reid in 2007 as well. his brother looks like the more hardcore republican but has also donated to reid, and dana hasn’t given shit this year.”

Ha, good for the Fertittas. Just as I said, any smart business, especially one that is controversial, will give liberally to both major parties. Nice look-up, bet that only took a few seconds to do, too.

FYI: the reason you like Ron Paul is because he’s more a Libertarian, less a Republican :)

  • el feo says:

    Fuck Rudy Giuliani.

  • el feo says:

Flinker, you’re lucky you live in a country that hasn’t pissed away 800 BILLION dollars into a giant hole in the desert.

  • TALC says:

Your knowledge of politics is like Houston Alexander’s knowledge of the ground game. This is why nobody comes here for political rants.

  • intenso says:

blah blah really rich people donate to both parties for the most part. The parties are almost exactly the same, and none of them give a shit about you or me and they give less of a shit about Ryan and Jake because last I checked we don’t let Canadians vote.

    Please no more politics.

  • BigFern says:

Fightlicker…i’m impressed by your political analysis. Very good observations. But the truth of the matter is, Rudy Guliani has NO BUSINESS running for president. He was mayor of a city during a terrorist attack……and he went to baseball games during the aftermath. He’s done nothing else and is the most unqualified candidate in the field. he runs on 9/11 and being strong on terrorism, but really…what the fuck has he done….pushed the nomination of Bernie Kerik to be Homeland Security Chief??? that fucker just got indicted! Amen to this post Fightlicker…

  • intenso says:

One could argue that a person that’s held and executive position in government is more qualified that anybody that’s held a legislative position.

  • intenso says:

*held AN, that is, not “and”

  • kermit.01 says:

To bad the Republicans aren’t like the Democrats and run their entire campian out of their own pockets……..HAHAHAHHAHA Oh yea.. Sorry.. Saying one group is any more or less corrupt than the other is like trying to decide which testical you’d rather have chewed off by rabid dogs. Either way its gonna suck eventually.

Oh and Giuliani started his political life as a Democrat, admiring the Kennedy family, working as a party committee person on Long Island in the mid-1960s, volunteering for Robert F. Kennedy’s presidential campaign in 1968.

  • intenso says:

having your testicle chewed off by a rabid dog would suck “eventually”?
    not right away?

  • el feo says:

7 years of Bush have many similar characteristics to testicles being chewed off by rabid dogs.

  • Accomando says:

“…HOWEVER, Republicans are also a lot easier to buy off than Democrats…”

You really are from Canada cause you don’t know shit, very stupid statement.

“…he literally destroyed nightlife and urban culture in New York City during his tenure as mayor…”

Translation, he made it livable. Look at the murder rate in NY before Rudy got there, there were up to 2,000 murders a year in the early 1990’s, now, more people are killed in Chi-town than NY every year (around 600) and Chi-town is 3 times smaller than NY!

You are a Canadian with a shitty healthcare system. Oh, great, your “healthcare” is “free”, eventhough nothing is “free.”

Meanwhile you got every bum with a sore throat clogging up your f’ing hospitals, so much so, that Canadians come here to get c-sections and their ACL’s replaced.

Your country sucks too, don’t comment on our shitty political situation.

  • A canadian saying bad things about America is like a monkey living on the back of a horse and telling him the ride through life is uncomfortable.

  • Mobb Deep says:

“Meanwhile you got every bum with a sore throat clogging up your f’ing hospitals, so much so, that Canadians come here to get c-sections and their ACL’s replaced.”

Ha, ha, ha, you wish Accomando. Last I checked Americans were coming here to get medical treatment and/or prescription drugs. Quit taking advantage of our healthcare system you illegals.

  • Accomando says:

“…I checked Americans were coming here to get medical treatment and/or prescription drugs. …”

Agh, ha ha, you are right about the prescription drugs, f’ing lying about surgeries.

“…A recent study by the Fraser Institute said the waiting time for surgery and other therapeutic treatments for the typical Canadian rose slightly in 2007 to 18.3 weeks…”

They may charge you 15 g’s, but I can get that ACL surgery the next day in the U.S., ain’t waitin’ 18.3 weeks.

  • intenso says:

who gets surgery on a torn ACL? just rub some dirt on it.

  • Glad we got some conversation going in here … this ain’t a ‘normal’ blog so we’ll often be talking about all sorts of different shit … the number of times I’ve brought up politics or the war or health care are pretty numerous now … i’ll keep working it in just to remind everyone that MMA does not exist in a bubble!

  • Mobb Deep says:

Ha, you have to pay 15gs for surgery. I can get it for much cheaper in your country. Bow to the mighty Loonie.

  • intenso says:

out hospitals will not honor your monopoly money, foreigner.

  • intenso says:

    *our

    ugh.

  • Accomando says:

“…Ha, you have to pay 15gs for surgery…”

    No, I have health insurance.

The loonie does anger me though, and with the rising cost for a barrel of oil, the loonie stands to only get stronger against the dollar. Usually though, it just means you all come here to spend your loonies.

  • It’s funny … I’m actually annoyed to use canadian quarters in american vending machines

  • marshal says:

I honestly with for everyone to quite voting in this 2 party dicatatorship. Oh, also state to the government we want less programs (less control). No one spends our money more carefully than ourselves. Oh fuck it, they already have control of us TV docile fucks! Eh hmm. Try to be complacent.

  • intenso says:

most people in America have already adopted your plan of not voting. figth the power, dork.

  • kermit.01 says:

I work in the Medical field. Say want you want about the insurance and coverage, any American can walk in to any Emergency Department anywhere in the US and get treated we treat people regardless of their ability to pay and they all get the same quality of care. Insurance or not. I work in an ED in Ohio. Recently our hospital was named number 1 in Ohio for Cardiac Surgery’s. Cost, in my opinion should not be a factor when it comes to figuring out who’s going to cut on you. If it is then you can go to Mexico and get it done for a 10% of what you could get it done for Canada. However I’d sooner mortgage my house and go to the number 1 Cardiac care unit then Juan’s Discount Heart Center.

But of course that is just me.
