UFC 91 is fucking awesome, UFC 92 not so much

Word on the streets (oh those hardcore streets of mixed martial arts blogging!) is that Wanderlei Silva and Quinton Jackson are gonna be facing off in November on the UFC 91 card. That means Brock vs Randy and Quinton vs Wandy on one mega card. Very awesome, but I’m starting to worry a little about the UFC 92 card on December 27th.

Right now it’s got Nogueria vs Mir, which is only pseudo interesting if you care about The Ultimate Fighter or think Mir is fit to hold Nog’s jockstrap. It should be interesting to see these two heavyweights really go at it jiu jitsu styles, but is that one fight worth breaking up your holiday booze / drugs / sex bender?

I’ve heard that after two big NYE events, a lot of fighters have wised up to the reality of accepting a fight on these cards: Christmas spent in the gym and away from the family. Which might not be that big of an issue for most fighters, but you know how the women get. This was brought up by Wanderlei Silva in a recent interview (which I can’t find right now but I’ll try to update later today), so I bet that’s why Quinton vs Wandy isn’t on NYE.

So my question is: what other fights will be? Because right now UFC 92 isn’t even holding a candle to the last two New Years events.

**CORRECTION** I royally pooched the UFC numbers on this one, fortunately jackal godzillad pointed this out before too many people realized what a tard I am.
