There are such things as stupid questions

One of the few things I’ve learned over the past week with these dumb press conferences is that most ‘journalists’ are mouth breathing knuckle dragging morons. They ask dumb questions, questions which have already been addressed 1000 times in the past, questions which have already been answered at the same fucking press conference! Questions with obvious answers, questions that make no sense, and questions which suck the cock of the person they’re asking.

One of the few guys that stood out against the trend was Steve Cofield aka Mr Sunshine. Steve got on the mic several times at yesterday’s UFC press conference and dogged the UFC about several key issues in this whole Randy Couture saga:

  • When was the last time the UFC talked to Randy regarding this?
  • What’s the scoop on the meeting two weeks ago when Randy voiced his issues?
  • When is the cutoff for stripping Randy of the belt?
  • Does Dana think Randy is leaving to fight for M-1?
  • Was Fedor’s offer for more than Randy made?

If he had just asked the “Was Randy really the 2nd highest paid fighter in your organization?” question, then I could have just stopped listening to the conference all together because every important question would have been asked.

Anyways, that’s about all I had to say on this. The rest of you people who were there or in on the phone conference: get your shit together because you suck balls.

This randy vs UFC thing is a dead horse beaten into bone bits and red mist. I’m a huge randy fan, those of you that are saying he’s a caveman when it comes to business are wrong. He’s got his clothing line, his gym, his acting career (if he can get into a movie with his mug, i should be on the cover of the next GQ). Something is amiss here, promises were made, friends shouldn’t do business, Randy was promised fair treatment, he’s probably right about how much fedor was offered and as the champ he should be getting the big money. Friends shouldn’t do business, what we’re witnessing is a grown up version of a high school BFF tiff.

“and questions which suck the cock of the person they’re asking.”

Well, yeah, duh. Half those guys probably came in their shorts ’cause OMG THE UFC BRASS JUST ANSWERED MY QUESTION HURR I’M A SPECIAL NOODLE.

I was waiting and waiting for some f–khead to ask the question that was on my mind the whole time…”WHERE DID THE $14-16MILLION THAT KEVIN IOLE AND THE UFC CLAIMED COUTURE WAS PAID, COME FROM?” cause they didn’t seem to address that.

  • intenso says:

Why would the UFC need to address something a reporter pulled out of his ass? They aren’t his employeer.

  • Frank says:

Intenso i have a feeling you’re wrong. His mouth still resounds the taste of Dana’s penis. Dana = Iole’s daddy

  • I would have liked it if someone had asked about the relationship between Dana and Kevin and Kevin’s smears. That would have been interesting. The right wording of question could have really put some legitimate teeth on the issue

  • Nem0, you hit the nail on the head. They’re all so sweaty with anticipation over asking a question they don’t even stop to think if it’s a good one. They’re worse than those losers from “One Night with Kevin Smith”. God, people suck.

  • Luke says:

Fightlinker is 100% dead on in this issue. It is incredibly frustrating to see people write about and cover this sport for a living who know next to nothing about the sport itself…or about being an objective journalist.

  • Goooooooooooood post
