The UFC treats it’s stars properly

I know how many tickets GSP gets from the UFC is high up there on the “Things I don’t really give a shit about” list, but the number is quite amusingly low:

Q: How many tickets did you get?

A: I got eight tickets for family and friends and then I bought a couple of more, but I should have got even more because now I don’t have enough for everyone. I’m very surprised it sold out in one minute.

So nice of the UFC to give Georges the option to buy extra tickets if 8 wasn’t enough to take care of him. I wonder if now they’ll also let him bid on those auction tickets they’re selling at the moment too? Worst comes to worst I’m sure he can buy some tickets from scalpers, right?

    Dear Fightlinker,

i would like (read demand) an article on Yamma. And i hope you will once again swim upstream and put up a positive review of the event.

    Thank you in advance,

seriously fightlinker – – how many tickets should he get ?

With 8 tickets u can bring ur parents, ur two siblings and 4 friends – also he will bring an entourage to “help” him walk to the ring, to tighten his cup, hold his mouthguard and talk to him in an uplifting manner.

Its not like any of the UFC’s big name stars ever quit over not getting enough complimentary tick… errr.. never mind.

  • Tertio says:

I am sure GSP didnt ask for anymore tickets. If he did i am sure the UFC woulda given him more.

But the above poster is right: 8 tickets sounds decent if the fighter doesnt specifically asks for more.

If GSP was to call Dana and get a : SHUT THE FUCK UP BITCH YOU AINT GETTING SHIT FROM ME YOU FUCKING FRENCHIE FAG MOTHERFUCKING QUEER answer we might have a possible scandal goign on here though.

Eight tickets is more than enough. That would allow me to bring my parents, my three siblings & three guests. And it’ not like he’s going to retire, those who can’t come to this show can go to his next fight.

  • P W says:

“…the number is quite amusingly low” I’m sure you’d think 50 tickets wouldn’t be enough for your boy GSP.

  • vinh says:

and think about the kinds of tickets too… the tickets he got are probably NOT in the nosebleed section… and if you haven’t noticed, good ufc tickets are fucking expensive.

At UFN 13, I got talking with a lady that is in charge of the ufc fight club membership, and she was trying to talk my brother and I into becoming ufc fight club members. We told her that we weren’t interested and she said that it is really good because you can have first pick at buying tickets to ufc’s. I told her what is the point in that, because all of the scalpers in California will buy the tickets before I would even have a chance and that is kind of fucked up that they can buy all the tickets and they aren’t even fans and they are just going to sell them to make money. She got kind of defensive and said, so what is wrong with that, if they want to buy all of the tickets then let them.
I could tell that she has had this criticism before, so I just told her no thanks and walked away.
