I’ve got some good news and bad news. The good news is that Quinton Jackson will indeed play Mr T’s role in the new A-Team flick. The bad news? Jackson vs Evans is being delayed because of it. Another bit of good news / bad news depending on if you’re a fan of Tim Sylvia or Friday the 13th: Timmy is NOT playing the hockey mask slasher. It turns out he’s just a stand-in for Michael Myers in the new Halloween movie.
“I made a couple mistakes…,” admitted my source, who is very close to Sylvia. “Tim is a stand-in for Michael Myers in the ‘Halloween’ movie out now.”
So, Sylvia is standing-in as Michael Myers, not Jason Voorhees. Being a person afraid of things that could really happen and generally bored by horror films, I don’t know whether or not this is equally as outrageous to horror geeks as Sylvia standing-in for Jason Voorhees, but I’m sure I’ll find out soon enough.
Fighters.com apologizes for the mistake and the devastation it caused to horror fans. Upon being told mistakenly by a reliabale source that Sylvia was standing-in for Jason Voorhees in the “Friday the 13th” sequel now in production, Fighters.com verified through IMDB that there is a “Friday the 13th” sequel in pre-production. Stand-ins are not credited, so Fighters.com couldn’t verify Sylvia’s work on the film.
It’s also worth noting that stand-ins don’t actually appear in the finished movie … they ‘stand in’ for the actual on screen actor when shots are being set up or another actor’s parts are being filmed. So really, this ‘news’ of Tim’s acting went from being a pretty huge deal to being barely anything at all.
