Strikeforce brings in Cat Zigano

Strikeforce is bringing in some new blood for Ronda Rousey to potentially face down the line in the form of Cat Zingano. Cat is a 6-0 pro 2-0 ammy who’s decorated in the jiu jitsu world and also happens to be pretty fierce with her fists to boot. While she may or may not be the woman to beat Ronda Rousey, she’s a very good addition to the Strikeforce bantamweight division and part of the next generation of hungry, violent women Miesha Tate is gonna have to hang with if she wants to stay in the mix at 135 pounds. I for one welcome our new female overlords and look forward to Zingano’s debut on September 29th against Amanda Nunes.

I checked this out when you first posted it and wasn’t terribly impressed, but didn’t think much of it. She has physical tools and she can learn striking if she gets with a good camp.

But holy shit, she’s fighting Nunes? She’s losing her first Strikeforce fight if she can’t take her down immediately.
