There’s not a day that doesn’t go by where there’s not another amazing development in the world of ponies. And so long as these developments keep happening, ponylinker will be there to bring you all the news. This is a story that’ll have you oohing and aahing for more:
PROUD father Jonny the zebra nuzzles up to his new daughter Nikita, who is the remarkable result of a bizarre love affair.
The tiny foal has stripes like dad but also bears the hallmarks of her mother Linda – a Shetland pony.
This makes Nikita a shetbra – one of the world’s most unusual hybrids.
I love how the shetbra has a combination of soft shetland fur with traces of zebra stripes and mane! My question is if the shetbra maintains the tameness to actually be domesticated fully. You can tame a zebra to a certain degree but never like you would a pony. Perhaps crossbreeding is the answer to producing a zebra that will accept saddle and bridle? We’ll keep you up to date on further developments!
