Quinton Jackson’s alternate fantasy universe

Quinton Jackson talks with Fighters Only, and it sounds like retirement is on his brain. Only theoretical what-if alternate dimension retirement, but still.

“Believe me I still want to retire as champion. I want to hold the belt once more. I guess if I had won that Jon Jones fight and if the Japan show wasn’t next then there’d have been a very good chance I would have retired already. It would have been a great time to bow out. But I almost certainly would have stayed around to fight in Japan anyway, to defend the belt. Then if I would have successfully defended it on this [UFC 144] show, I definitely would be retiring – and retiring a very happy man too!”

Even in Rampage’s perfect imaginary world, he’s still retiring. Fortunately for us fans he has expensive tastes that should keep him fighting for years to come or until his Hollywood career takes off. So years to come.

    still high on energy drinks

  • thingvolds says:

absolutely no way rampage is retiring. i guarantee he’s squandered nearly all the money he’s made on dumb shit like chrome spinner rims, a music studio and record label for his rap career, and bad investments like start up money for his friends energy drink company called “NRG Drank” or some shit. not to mention his old trainer supposedly fleeced him. i don’t think any big hollywood studios are knocking down his door with million dollar offers after his A team performance either. there’s no way he’s turning down main event or co main event money just to show up and half ass it like he’s been doing.

  • DJ ThunderElbows says:

Juanito just charged him 65k for the only camp he’s ever gotten better in.  He may have overcharged him, but no fleecing.

  • Reverend Clint says:

The ufc just needs to set up shop in japan n send him there perminantly as fighter/spokesman

  • thingvolds says:

yeah i was always skeptical about juanito supposedly fleecing him too. i guess the courts found something but idk. like you said he seemed to do well training under him.

  • Reverend Clint says:

    dont trust anyone named juanito

  • Jarman says:

words to live by. preached by a reverend, no less.

  • drunkenjunk says:

i like clint’s idea, also seeing Quinton crush chinaman was a good time in Pride.

  • CAP says:

He better not lose to Bader. I mean…Tito beat him.
