(Jointsnappas in the hizzy!)
Rousimar Palhares is such a nice guy. Just a few days ago, he put up a heartfelt video expressing his sadness over the Colorado Batman shootings. He even dedicated his upcoming UFC 150 fight in Denver to world peace! You’d think after that, God would bless Palhares with prosperity and many fruit-topped cakes, but instead He struck him down with a knee injury. God, you’re such a dick.
And yes, this is textbook irony right here: the man who’s probably responsible for half the knee injuries filed with the UFC’s insurance provider has succumbed to a knee injury of his own:
“It wasn’t a simple injury, but I’m ok,” Rousimar said. “It’s a new challenge for me, a new fight that I’ll have to fight now. My focus have changed, but the determination is even bigger. I’ll be back a better fighter”.
After a few exams with Luiz Antônio Oliveira, a specialist in knee injuries, Rousimar’s doctor Michael Simoni said he won’t need to go under the knife.
“Toquinho got hurt while defending a takedown and he won’t be able to continue his trainings. But, at first, there’s no risk to need a surgery”.
So bad news: Toko hurt. Toko out of UFC 150. Good news: No surgery for Toko. Toko maybe come back before end of year?
