Mike Kyle in against Bigfoot

Via MMA Fighting:

Labeled a bad boy for frequent poor sportsmanship in the mid-2000s, Kyle has as of late been trying to clean up his image with wins in Strikeforce: Challengers, XMMA in Australia and several King of the Cage events.

‘Bad boy’ and ‘poor sportsmanship’ wouldn’t be the expressions I’d use. But I guess in a world where a dude caught loading his gloves can move on to fight Manny Pacquiao, it shouldn’t be surprising that people now overlook Kyle’s 2006 assault. Let’s hope for Strikeforce’s sake that this continues if Kyle beats Bigfoot and inserts himself into the promotion’s ‘robust’ heavyweight division.

    Damn Mike Kyle, you scary!

  • Symbul says:

It’s a better fight than the Valentijn one, though if it were up to me he’d never get a license after his “poor sportsmanship” in the past.

  • scissors61 says:

Stick him in a cage with ol’ Horse Meat. I’d pay to see that, and it ain’t like Alistair is going to get any legitimate fights until next August (if at all).

  • Reverend Clint says:

i think enough time has passed that we can let this go. he was a dick in the past, so was Yvel, Gomi, Simms and a shit load of other fighters

  • DJ ThunderElbows says:

But for Gomi it was Warrior Spirit, when everyone else does it it’s because they’re macho assholes.

  • Millertime says:

I love the WEC christmas lights in the back toward the end of the vid.

  • CAP says:

Bigfoot should give him the anal raping he deserves.

  • agentsmith says:

Coker says he offered the fight to Todd Duffee, but he turned it down. Word is that Duffee has also turned down an invitation from Bellator, and will fight in January on some regional card. WTF is this guy thinking?

  • scissors61 says:

Duffee’s rightly thinking that the best way back into the UFC is to tell Scott Coker to fuck off and make sure Dana knows that he did.

  • agentsmith says:

I’ve gathered other fighters do that too, they turn down the bigger promotions like Strikeforce or Bellator because they don’t want to be tied into a long-term contract… they’d rather pick up a couple meaningless wins in the bushleagues in the hopes that they’ll then get invited back to the UFC. Except Duffee wasn’t fired because of his loss, so I’m not sure that logic even applies in this case.

  • scissors61 says:

According to Dana, Duffee was fired for having a “bad attitude,” so the logic of getting back in Dana’s good graces by demonstrating the “good attitude” he prefers (i.e. “Fuck Strikeforce, fuck Bellator, UFC is the be-all-end-all and I will do as I’m told”) certainly applies.

  • DJ ThunderElbows says:

    Skizzers is smart.

  • stevedavid says:

oh boy……………very scary and good 😛
