Manny Gamburyan’s shoulder betrays him again

The injury train choo-choo-chooses Manny Gamburyan and hits him with another shoulder injury, cancelling his fight with Diego Nunes at UFC 135. This would probably be the same re-occurring problem that cost him the TUF 5 finale back in 2007. Manny now becomes the first fighter to fall from UFC 135, which is headlined by Jon Jones vs Quinton Jackson. Let us hope the MMA Gods are satisfied with this sacrifice and we are spared any more unfortunate injuries.

I’ve heard that once you dislocate your shoulder, it’s easier to dislocate it again.  Haven’t checked into the legitimacy of that.

  • CAP says:

Yeah surprised it took so long. That’s a major problem for him.

  • agentsmith says:

    @ Sodomize Intolerance:
That’s what I learned from “Lethal Weapon” at least.

  • bosswell says:

It’s not dislocated, It’s a separated AC. I’ve got the same thing. It will never fully recover, because the ligament cannot repair itself.

  • CAP says:

^Yeah he’s probably got more issues than that. My shoulder is separated also and never had anything like that happen. But I only grapple my balls.

  • bosswell says:

The problem comes when you keep lifting weights, your body tries to pin the clavicle down with scar tissue, but it can’t because of the strain of lifting.

This is a classic sign of a man who also makes money giving handies to customers in applebees bathrooms for 40 dollars.

  • frickshun says:

I don’t think I’d be able to finish unless he was down for some kissing as well.

  • bosswell says:

Handies also make it hard for a torn AC to get better.
