Japan-Korea International Goodwill Kakutougi Taikai GLADIATOR!

Rumors that Deep lightweight champion Pang Sung Hwan is going to be fighting Takanori Gomi in August have gotten a bump by the fact that he was removed from the “Japan-Korea International Goodwill Kakutougi Taikai GLADIATOR” event happening two weeks earlier. What a sweet name for an event, too! Totally not way too long at all.

Past the name, there’s a lot to be excited about with the Japan-Korea International Goodwill Kakutougi Taikai GLADIATOR event. The Japan-Korea International Goodwill Kakutougi Taikai GLADIATOR event features Minowaman warming up for another NYE freakshow by fighting Don Frye, as well as Gary Goodridge, Jan Nortje (the dude who made Bob Sapp look like a wuss in Strikeforce – unless you consider Sapp responsible for that all on his own), and recent got-fired-by-the-UFC dude Michihiro Omigawa.

Personally, I think this Japan-Korea International Goodwill Kakutougi Taikai GLADIATOR event looks a lot better than Sengoku and Pang Sung Hwan probably should have stayed on the Japan-Korea International Goodwill Kakutougi Taikai GLADIATOR card instead of accepting the role of sacrificial lamb against Gomi. While Pang’s got good hands and therefore a striker’s chance, I really can’t see him challenging Gomi unless Gomi shows up out of shape and unmotivated. So … that being said, 50/50 chance.
