JackalTV: Akiyama doesn’t like Misaki

(ABOVE) Yoshihiro Akiyama talks about Misaki: We’ve spewed our fair share of shit against Akiyama over the years, mainly having to do with him being a cheating bastard. One thing that makes me sick though is when the Japanese rag on him for being of Korean descent. Here’s a video that goes over all the shit that Misaki did to disrespect him during New Years Eve.

The rest of the videos are embedded after the jump!

Karate vs Jiu Jitsu: It blows my mind that there are still martial artists out there who don’t realize Karate on the ground is about as useful as a screen door on a submarine.

Randy Couture Circuit Training: Nice little video showing Randy’s circuit training.

Koreans vs Japs.. Nice, always a rich history among them..

I wish i recorded when i fought this guy who was a TKD black belt, while me, a white belt at bjj (and am. MMA), i pulled him into guard, arm-bared him and he tapped like a mofo! His arm was hurting for quite a while, but he slammed me when i got to teh ground.. a 150 lbs guy vs 180 lbs asian guy (me). :) Awww, having weight advantage is fucken awesome!

Akiyama has every right to hate Misaki. It’s one thing to hate Akiyama because he cheated against Sakuraba. But it’s annoying how Misaki and the Japanese media has made the Akiyama situation into a race thing. Akiyama’s family has lived in Japan for four freakin generations man and he’s ethnically Korean. He only got Japanese citizenship when he was an adult. The kicker though is that I saw a english subtitled Japanese program special that demonstrated through some sort of genetic study that the Japanese shared a lot of Korean ancestry. But yet they treat a man whose family lived in Japan for four generations like a second-class citizen. Misaki just did what he did to generate publicity for himself.

  • RL Dookiefuck is RIGHT! says:

When did Misaki ever once say anything about Koreans or Akiyama’s ancestry?

  • FRANKIE says:

Bob Sapp is fucking terrible. On the other hand, watching Fujita punt Sapp in the head repeatedly is awesome.

Karate vs Jiu Jitsu never gets old no matter how short the fights last

  • Rick says:

Yeah, that guy’s arm is broken. And he didn’t even attempt a kick. he just kinda curled into a ball as soon as the other guy shot in.

  • danaunclefesterwhite says:

Misaki said “The Japanese are strong” after his match with Akiyama. Now why would he say something that nationalistic after a match with Akiyama? Because Akiyama is Korean and he gets ragged on for being Korean over in Japan.

  • Zeppelin says:

I was amazed that Akiyama just stood there and let Misaki lecture him. Just imagine what the outcome would have been in a fight in the US if a white fighter, after defeating a fighter of color, went right into a thinly veiled bigoted lecture? Misaki has always come across to me as a dick, even before this.

  • RL Dookiefuck is RIGHT! says:

Yes indeed a fighter saying something patriotic after winning a fight in his home country is a little odd, he must be a FILTHY RACIST CHEATER BURN HIM BURN THE JAPANESE IMPERIALIST SCUM AND AVENGE THE HONOR OF GLORIOUS MOTHER KOREA.

Marcus Davis highlight is unintentionally hilarious! All the fakey-irish music and then the green flatline heart-rate display! HAHAHA!

My screen name is ridiculous, but RL dookiefuck must be Japanese or Wapanese (Barnett, is that you?) because there’s no other way to describe his defense of Japanese bigotry in the face of common sense. Just go and read anything about the history of Koreans in Japan and maybe you can figure out exactly the type of shit that goes on there. In short, Akiyama was granted citizenship in Japan only because he was gifted at Judo and represented Japan in International Tournaments, but while they had no problems with using his talents, they also have no problems with throwing him under the bus for his Korean heritage. My Japanese friend tells me that whenever a public figure in Japan turns out to be a complete scumbag, one of the first things that happens is for the media to try to portray him as being anything other than Japanese and most of the time, he turns out to be Korean. Wow, surprise, surprise.

Akiyama is something like a 5th generation Japanese-Korean. Except it doesn’t matter how long a Korean live in Japan; they’ll always be considered second class citizens. Misaki saying what he did was very thinly veiled racism. And his gym, Team Grabaka, has a reputation of not allowing non-Japanese members.

    War Ice Cold Igor.

  • RL Dookiefuck is RIGHT! says:

So what you’re saying is that when an American fighter says GOD BLESS AMERICA after a fight he’s really just using “thinly veiled racism” and what he really means is GET OUT MEXICANS.

Oh wait no, that’s not what that means at all and only the sandiest-pussied cry babies who are butt hurt about losing would even think that.

Misaki scolded Akiyama for being a cheating prick, mocked his judo, complimented him on a good fight and then said something pro-Japanese to his Japanese audience and fans and he even apologized about it later. But since Akiyama is Korean in Japan OMFGMISAKI MUST BE RACIST (even though he didn’t say a single word about Korea or Akiyama’s heritage, and still hasn’t).

But please, Esteemed Jackals, do tell me more about how Akiyama’s family living in Japan for so long makes Misaki a racist. Fascinating.

  • Mobb Deep says:

So wait, Akiyama was born in Japan, but didn’t get Japanese citizenship until he was an adult? Is that what I heard?

  • Allah Ackbar says:

“So what you’re saying is that when an American fighter says GOD BLESS AMERICA after a fight he’s really just using “thinly veiled racism” and what he really means is GET OUT MEXICANS.”

    -RL Dookiefuck is RIGHT!

Except in America, Mexicans can become naturalized citizens without having to jump through hurdles for many generations. The first generation has to go through a tedious process, but their children are granted citizenship assuming they’ve been born there. Birthright citizenship ensures that we don’t end up in a situation where rightful Americans are denied legal status. Saying God Bless America doesn’t exclude the Mexicans, the Blacks, the Asians, or whatever minority group you can think of because the system of birthright citizenship isn’t designed to exclude them.

This is not the case in Japan where if you’re not ethnically Japanese, you’ll always be considered an outsider and it’s next to impossible to get citizenship unless you marry an ethnic Japanese whereby you almost “receive permission” to be considered for legal status in your own country. When Misaki said what he did, he was pointing out the ethnic difference and rubbing it in when Akiyama is essentially Japanese and admits it himself whenever he’s in Korea. There is no real comparison for it in the Western world, but imagine if a white fighter went up to a 5th generation Mexican American fighter and told him that white fighters were strong. That wouldn’t be had in the United States and what Misaki did was arguably worse when you take into account the history of Koreans in Japan. Seriously, when everyone who comprehends the situation and issues behind it all reach the same conclusion (Misaki was being a bigot), they’re probably right.

  • Zeppelin says:

“Oh wait no, that’s not what that means at all and only the sandiest-pussied cry babies who are butt hurt about losing would even think that.”

Well, you are certainly right about someone having sand in their vagina.

  • RL Dookiefuck is RIGHT! says:

Yes I’m sure Misaki was making a subtle but acerbic statement about Japanese citizenship laws and their implications for race relations. That’s way more easy to believe than the theory that maybe he was just being patriotic in front of the hometown crowd.

But hey as long as you keep saying so I’m sure even more youtube commentors and avid sherdog posters will join your bandwagon and start saying the same thing and make it even more true. That’s how facts work these days.

  • I’d say it being a fact has more to do with everyone in Japan and Korea (including Akiyama) taking it as a slur.

  • Allah Ackbar says:

“Yes I’m sure Misaki was making a subtle but acerbic statement about Japanese citizenship laws and their implications for race relations. That’s way more easy to believe than the theory that maybe he was just being patriotic in front of the hometown crowd.”

    -RL Dookiefuck is RIGHT!

I’m sure Misaki understood full well what Akiyama’s Korean heritage means in Japan even if you can’t.

But what the hell do the Japanese and Koreans know about this? Ain’t you heard? RL Dookiefuck is RIGHT muthafuckas. You’re as retarded as your SN and this is coming from someone who named himself after the same phrase suicide bombers often yell before blowing themselves up.

  • RL Dookiefuck is RIGHT! says:

KOREANS ARE OFFENDED MISAKI MUST BE RACIST

Someone should tell him that it’s not okay to say Japan is strong when you win a fight in Japan in front of a Japanese audience and also you’re Japanese. That shit is just too racist.

Keep calling my name stupid, your argument still huffs cocks.

  • queero mcgayguy says:

It’s cool how nobody gave a fuck when Misaki said the same thing after several fights over a period of years

  • danaunclefesterwhite says:

Mobb Depp: So wait, Akiyama was born in Japan, but didn’t get Japanese citizenship until he was an adult? Is that what I heard?

That’s right. Akiyama only got Japanese citizenship because he was great at Judo and they wanted him to represent Japan. Before that, his family has not had Japanese citizenship at all despite being in Japan for four generations.

  • Mobb Deep says:

I saw Sapp – Fujita live at Saitama Super Arena, but my fondest memories were of Genki Sudo vs. Royler Gracie (Sudo is my GSP) earlier that night.

Me and my friend were checking out the souvenir shops just outside the arena when a strangely familiar guy made his way towards us. I was standing just next to him and I recognized his face, but I couldn’t quite place him – until I realized it was Royce. 10 seconds later, he was swarmed by Japanese fans.

  • Higgz says:

People still take Karate? Too bad they never taught him a knee in any of his lame Kata’s. That guy shot in with his head down. Karatgay is so stupid!
