Is the Fightlinker site loading slower since the overhaul?

When you have posts with gifs they run smoother now.

it's been a bit slower but nothing drastic. I'm sure you can find a few ways to optimize things.

For some reason the home page content does not load on my first visit. I need to check a forum thread and then click the home page to see the posts. Then it works fine for some reason.
