I loves me some Mac Danzig

Normally I hate TUF Fighter diaries … most of them have the same level of insight as a random 12 year old who just watched the episode on Spike. However, I’m all about Mac Danzig’s awesome breakdown because it goes past just a regurgitation of what happened in the episode. For example, he reveals that he was the one who tooled Roman’s elbow (thinning out the competition, huh Mac?). As well, he had this funny insight into Matt Serra’s annoying corner style:

Puzzling to me, was how Serra would yell “good Joey!” during times where Joey was definitly in trouble. It was like he was trying to change the fight through some sort of audible osmosis. Maybe next time I get in a car accident, I’ll just yell “Good!- This is good- great!” and the cars will magically fix themselves- I don’t know what he was thinking.

I kept flashing back to season 4:

    “BREEATHE, Drago!”

    Friggen hillarious.

did anyone watch the abortion that is AA on the jerry springer show

Snark and big words. I think I’m in love.

Reminds me of Shamrock too. Whenever they hit the ground: “Work your submissions!”
“Thanks, Ken. Now I know EXACTLY what to do.”

  • Lifer says:

Ken Shamrock is more of a motivational speaker than a coach. His advice before, during and after the fight is so ridiculously useless. He sounds like a casual fan cat-calling instead of giving instruction or providing a 2nd set of eyes for his fighter. Highlights:

    “This is your world!”
    “This is your fight!”
“Show him what you’re made of!”

I hope Mac Danzig gets spiked on his vegan head. He got humiliated by Sakurai, proving he isn’t big time anything. He should eat meat and be more humble.

  • Ted Dibiase says:

never knew a meathead could be vegan

  • garth says:

people who get upset about what someone else chooses to eat make me giggle. what a load.
mac danzig, however, is a jackass. hopefully he’s not a more-talented jackass than the rest of those guys.

always at least one that sticks his foot up his A** and runs loose at the mouth
    ala Marlon Sims
    ala Ed Herman
    and so on…and so on…

“people who get upset about what someone else chooses to eat make me giggle.”

What we eat does effect our personalities and behavior. I have been in this field for along time and there are things you notice about vegetarians structurally, functionally and psychologically that distinguish them from meat eaters.

  • Alleater says:

I am actually quite keen on hearing what those things you have noticed about vegetarians are… (any surprises?)

And yes, Mac comes off as a meathead 😉

  • I have vegan friends who have a 3 year old. He’s half the size of my three year old and looks like a sickly runt. I have no doubt that an adult who’s finished growing can make adequate substitutions in their diet to get all the necessary shit they need. But for god’s sake, there’s a limit. Pregnant women + growing kids need da meat.

  • garth says:

i have a brother who’s three-year old was considerably smaller than my kid was, and wasn’t spared anything in her diet, or her mom’s. sometimes kids are different sizes. besides, you can get all the crap you get from meat from other stuff, without the bonus fat and hormones.

of course, i eat meat like its going out of style, but i also like arguing. fuck, last two dinners? fried chicken and steak. that’s two separate meals, of course. i’m not that cool.

  • Ryan says:

I don’t understand all the Danzig hate. He sorta has a right to be a little cocky, he’s definitely the most experienced and winningest fighter on the show. As for veganism affecting his personality, that just sounds like a bunch of horseshit to me. Care to offer anything other than anecdotal evidence of this amazing fact?

  • Ted Dibiase says:

vegans and veggies think theyre better than everyone else. thats about it
