I don’t get it. My main issue with EA MMA is how easy it is to beat the AI even on the hardest difficulty. Only way you’ll ever get reversed or have your guard passed is if you’re a fucking retard. Now, figuring out the striking sucks, but that’s mainly because even Overeem shoots a minimum of 12 takedowns per round.
If you just use a second controller to enter the game so you have a dummy to hit, there are just 8 gestures on the stick and 2 modifier buttons to master for the striking, not exactly very hard to grasp.
what is that thing on the top of the xbox controller?
Never seen that before
Is that a wireless symbol on it?
other than the lame ‘sweet spot’ choke system i didn’t have any problems at all with the controls. mind you i do play a lot of fight night round 5.
the demo’s fun, don’t think i’ll buy the game though. while like that gameplay is more fluid and strategy demanding that unleashed, that don’t have the flash headkick ko’s that made the aforementioned game so much fun to play
FNR4 accounts for about 80% I spend playing games lately, although that’s really not saying much at all, dedicating more time to learning to create games using Xna lately.
Did you play it against people or just the AI schrute? And what platform? Because on the ps3 the rumbles feel different enough that there’s no excuse for ever having your guard passed on the ground. Basically, outside of 1-shot KOs on the feet, there is no way to lose to the AI, regardless of difficulty setting.
And the striking isn’t terrible, but they made some weird choices, like the gesture for uppercuts/teeps, and it just doesn’t flow anywhere near as well as FNR4. Oh, and you can knee the body from top in half guard, but not from side control, which is just weird.
All in all I prefer disputed 2010 over this, but I’m kinda looking forward to seeing what the career mode is like, and if they can tighten the controls up a bit by release.
seriously guys….Im gettin so wound up searchin online trying to find out what that thing is on the top of the 360 controller,
Ive looked at batteries, googled for a device to convert wired controller to wireless… does anyone know?
