Gary Shaw: “Dana White can fuck his jerkoff shit moron”

I like how Gary Shaw went from “Every time Dana White talks about us, it’s free press” to “Every time Dana White talks about us, I wanna fucking murder someone” in under six months. Check out Mr Shaw’s response yesterday to a question regarding Dana White’s “BJ Penn could beat Kimbo Slice” comments:

Gary Shaw: Dana White is a jerkoff. That’s what Dana White is, a fucking idiot, and you can quote me on that. If he cared about mixed martial arts and the sport instead of caring about his big ass swimming pool and his own personal gains, he’d understand that statements like that make someone into a jerk. First of all, I love BJ Penn and he is a friend of mine. Kimbo Slice, one shot, would knock BJ Penn out, a 155 pounder. But they are never going to fight, it is an idiotic statement from a complete idiot- Dana White’s an idiot. And if he wasn’t an idiot, May 31 would have been the UFC instead of EliteXC. I rest my case.

    Word.

Speaking of which, can you guys repost the “Part 2 of EliteXC/CBS Media Day: Gina Carano Makes Babies Cry (With Joy)” that was in my feed reader a little while ago. The first one was great.

gary shaw has eaten esther’s post.

  • scorchamatic says:

shaw’s got a very good point about the cbs deal. dana white’s ego fucked that up. now, for better or worse, elite xc is going to be the org that introduces mma to primetime television. dana’s almost singlehandedly responsible for successfully marketing mma to the newly initiated and he may be the guy who singlehandedly fucks it up.

  • Johnny says:

Umm.. BJ would sub Kimbo in the first. no doubt about that. Skill > size

  • Johnny says:

also, the CBS deal is shit, it will be the end of elite xc Zuffa is WAY to responsible to sign a shit corporate takeover deal like elite xc did.

  • Jared Shaws ready to bust a cap wit his gat.

  • crs says:

Yes, there’s a big difference between being on network television and having a good deal with network television. Zuffa is smart enough to realize they aren’t hurting for money on Spike so they can wait out a good deal. I wish EXC the best because it would be great for Zuffa’s stranglehold on the industry to be lightened a little, but I’d make the Ipecac bet that if they aren’t immediately dropped from CBS after the special that Viacom will own them within a year. And you think boxing promoters don’t know shit about running a MMA promotion, wait until a bunch of television execs in their 50s and 60s get ahold of it…

  • Gaston says:

I agree with fatboy shaw, the weight differens is too big. How would Bj get him down? The way i see it, you need to box your way in to get a chance for a takedown if you are smaller. Thing is Kimbo wouldn´t be afraid to get hit by someone half his size. But I could be wrong, and its a pretty dumb discussion to begin with

  • Jemaleddin says:

Too big? Have we learned nothing from the freak-shows of Pride? The little guy dances around on the outside, throwing leg kicks until the big guy is tired and in pain, then either jumps guard to work for an armbar, or shoots in for a leg-lock. Easy peasy.

But BJ would just knock him out. Kimbo is strong, but BJ hits fast and hard. No question: BJ beats him. So would GSP, so would A.Silva. Size shmize.

  • Gaston says:

But there is a differens between a 40 kg differens between 110 kg and 150, and between 70 kg and 110. There were a reason there were no top limits in pride, over 120 kg you don´t seem to get an advantage anyway. Thoose pride fights proved nothing, they were set up to produce the little guy as winner. But we can only speculate. GSP and Silva on the other hand I won´t disagree with you.

  • Goo says:

Too big? Bullshit. Machida’s big for 205 and he couldn’t finish BJ.

  • Goo says:

How can you say GSP would beat Kimbo easily, but BJ and GSP fought eachother to a decision yet you think BJ would be massacred by Kimbo based on size…?

  • fightfan says:

Dana will stop talking shit when Kimbo faces at least a halfway decent opponent, and no more sub 500, overweight, grey haired senior citizens

    I mean really kimbo fought….

Mercer – an out of shape old man, what 46 or 48 years old years old?

Tank Abbot – Again the same, old, fat and out of shape. And a horrible record. Mayeb if they fought 15 years ago it would of been fair

Cantrell – dude was there to get a paycheck. Sub 500 record and was quitting before a punch was thrown

Easy to find opponents for Kimbo. They have to have a recognizable name, they have to be old, poor record and havent been competetive for at least 5-10 years. Oh and out of shape

  • Gaston says:

I didn´t say he would get massacred but I think he would stand a good chance under the premises that the weight differens remained. BJ went up in weight to fight machida and machida isn´t exactly known for finishing people is he. GSP is allready big for a 77 kg guy and his wrestling would help. But I´m not a nuthugger I only said shaw had a point and I still think so. But as I said I could as well be wrong

  • godzillad says:

Not to mention Mercer is a boxer. Not in the Marcus Davis sense but the Floyd Mayweather sense.

  • jim allcorn says:

I’d put my $$$ on BJ over Kimbo any day of the week. No problem. Just like that wise bloke before me queried, has the past 15 years of the sport of MMA shown us nothing at all?

Sure, Kimbo’s size & power advantages would make him a dangerous proposition for Penn to handle, but at the end of the day, his VAST edge in skills would lead to him schooling the much bigger man. Damn near guaranteed!

I don’t care if Mr. Kevin Ferguson has been living at Bas Rutten’s place & training with him 24/7 for the past two years. There’s no such thing as a “crash course” to become a world class fighter. Something that BJ Penn has spent the majority of his life training toward.

All the “backyard brawls” in the world mean next to nothing in comparison.

Not only that, but Penn’s already proven to us that he’s capable of being competitive with ( & victorious over in the latter case ) world class fighters that are larger than him in his bouts with Lyoto Michida & Renzo Gracie. While neither is quite as large as Kimbo is, both men have forgotten more about fighting than Kevin Ferguson is ever likely to know …

  • godzillad says:

”Too big? Bullshit. Machida’s big for 205 and he couldn’t finish BJ.”

    1. Machida can’t finish anybody.
    2. Dissing someone for not finishing BJ is like dissing somebody for not finishing Big Nog: retarded.

Not to mention Machida was 219 and BJ was 191. Not that big of a difference considering they were both butterballs for that fight.

    Sherk by TKO

  • Gaston says:

Yeah they might suck but to say that he walked trough them would be an understatement

  • Gaston says:

    Referring to kimbos opponents

  • godzillad says:

”…Penn’s already…competitive with…fighter..larger than him in his bouts with Lyoto Michida & Renzo Gracie.”

BJ was not competitive with Machida, and Renzo is a lazy Welterweight (he used to grapple at 78kgs). I don’t know how people think they can pretend to know what they’re talking about and not get caught.

  • pauli says:

on what planet is machida big for 205?

  • Accomando says:

    “…godzillad

Sherk by TKO….I don’t know how people think they can pretend to know what they’re talking about and not get caught…”

    LULZ.

  • Byron says:

After tonight’s card, I’m confident BJ Penn could school Kimbo slice in an MMA fight, even with the huge weight gap between them. Shaw, die plz.

    Shaw: “I’m working on it.”
