    Light Heavyweight = LHW

    Middleweight = MW

    Welterweight = WW

    Lightweight = LW

    Featherweight = FW

    Bantamweight = BW

    Flyweight = OH MY GOD FW IS ALREADY TAKEN!!! WHAT THE FUCK DO WE DO NOW????!!!  HOW DO WE ABBREV FLYWEIGHT??

    it actually is a problem, much in the same way over saturation of events is. no one gives a fuck about all those different weight classes and belts except the hardest of the hardcores. intentionally making one of boxing’s most obvious mistakes is typical of zuffa and their greed. at least with the wec and their focus on the lighter weights, you knew what you were watching when you tuned in. the ufc, with all its weight classes and guys dropping down to them and belts and soon to be embarrassing women’s division, is a mess that no one with a life outside watching mma wants to sift through.

    the sport right now reminds me of the internet boom and bubble, silicon valley, the tech bubble etc. except, no one needs mma – not even a single fight, to live up to standard.

    ^ what are you talking about?..those are two completely different things. pretty sure that fightlinker weight hovers somewhere around twice the 125 pound flyweight limit
