I know Dana White says he wakes up in his giant bed made of money every day prepared for bad news, but it seems like there's been a lot more of it than usual for his promotion lately. I'm not talking about the Fedor lawsuit thing that might drag the company into court - the UFC's law division is more stacked than their light heavyweight one and it's record is pretty fucking scary. I'm talking about the UFC's issues keeping headline fights alive ... stuff like this must be enough to riddle matchmaker Joe Silva's entire digestive system with penny sized ulcers: Lesnar's coach Greg Nelson has since told Yahoo! Sports that his fighter may not agree to the rescheduled January 2nd meeting if his health does not clear up very soon. This creates a problem for the UFC, which currently has four of its five champions on the injury list and one competing in December. It's news like this that makes me wonder if Dana regrets taking the WEC off the chopping block and renewing vows with Versus. If you've been keeping score, no Brock Lesnar at UFC 108 means we've only had 3 title defenses since UFC 100. Who would have thought that BJ Penn of all people would be the workhorse champion for the latter half of this year?  I wonder if the Zuffa boys ever get used to this stuff. Anderson Silva has gotta be the worst though at least Brock isn't making demands.  I just think it is kind of funny how when Fightlinker doesn't like something Iole writes, it gets torn to shreds, but when Iole passes along legitimate news, which he does far more often than his detractors admit, he doesn't get credit from the site and there's a link to another news site that says "Yahoo Sports reported" instead.  start up a new weight division - 145 or 225 - four man tournament - at least people would be talking about a belt  I don't think the UFC is too worried about the M1 Global law suit. I can't find a copy of the complaint, but I would think the only realistic cause of action against Affliction is breach of contract. The UFC was not in privity of contract with M1 so it's hard for me to see how the ufc would be liable for any damages. There is a recognized tort cause of action concerning improper interference with contractual relations, but it's not an easy thing to prove.  but when Iole passes along legitimate news, which he does far more often than his detractors admit, He passes-on whatever Dana white wants him. Which is what he generally gets ripped for in the first place so ... yeah. BTW, what the fuck is going on with Brock Lesnar? He's sick for months at a time. Maybe its staph and he's Brock Lesnar so its taking this long to eat their way through him?
