Episode two of Jackal Radio is now available for your sexy ear-pleasure (which I know some of you are into). Subo and Rodriguez cover all of the aired fights from UFC 104, going in-depth about judging, Mazzagatti being the worst or worstest ref, Anthony "Fatty" Johnson, and why Chael Sonnen should get Christmas cards from us MMA fans. And for those who enjoyed the "I will kill you" tension between the hosts in episode one, you can bet it gets VERY heated when discussing one of the fights. An hour and seventeen minutes of 104 philosophizing ready for the hearing. So go suck an egg, Matt Hamill.
Im boycotting this radio show. You laid off the android and replaced him by a unionized professional sounding guy. Androids have the right to work too.
chunkycheese - It's in the regular podcast feed, just search for it it in iTunes.
I reckon you should post this bad boy up right after all the events. The other two clearly don't want to do it and their last attempt was some real soppy bollocks.
subo went from sounding like an astronaut with a busted walkie talkie to a cast member of deadwood lol
good show, i agree with rodzillard about the cain v rothwell stoppage, big ben abandoned protecting himself to stand up and took several shots to the face imo not intelligently defending himself, why didn't the ref stop it when cain had his knee on ben neck and was hammerfisting him in the fucking face
Oh - the stoppage was complete bullshit. I never knew Rodriguez was mexican (the clue is in the name I guess!) but he's clearly got a boner for Cain. So bad he can't look past it being a shitty stoppage. Cain was well on his way to a second 10-8 round and no doubt would've won the fight but Rothwell was Standing up aka Advancing Position aka Intelligently defending himself. Cain would have just popped him back down on his head no doubt but that's why they fight. Awful stoppage.
Completely agree with MRC54. Had Rothwell just sat there, yes, stop the fight, but intelligently defending yourself includes trying to (and succeeding) in improving your position.
Good show guys, I'd like to hear more of it. The disagreements are great. Subo - you rule. Rodriguez - When Subo sets up the analysis, there's always dead space right after, then he has to ask you a question to get you to talk. You should just chime in right away and assume he wants your thoughts on that, not have to ask you for your thoughts on that.
SelfDestructo: If he doesn't do that, we are a mess of jumbles overlapping voices. Would you rather have a second or two of dead space, or ten seconds of us saying "No, go ahead"?
Ryan: I admit, I listen to the Beatdown and Breen shows.
Given that you guys are not in the same studio and can't read eachother physically, the set ups should end with something like "so, Rod/Subo, any reaction to that?" That way no dead space and no talking over.
If we'd had bothered editing the son of a bitch, you'd all think we were psychic geniuses. Geniuses, I tells ya! Probably would've kept the reaction to Saku, though - I think that shit is gold.
