Ok I know you can't accomodate every wacky setup of every user, but FIghtlinker is the only website(and I visit a lot) that causes my browser to hang for 30 seconds whenever I refresh or go to a new page. It's probably the sidebar trying to load something fancy. Fightlinker is my favorite MMA blog, and it's so frustrating to have it crushing my browser every time I stop in.
Here's my config:
Red Hat Linux + Firefox 3.0.11
(and I'm pretty sure our flash is a little old, but really it's *only* Fightlinker where I have a problem.
(I also have a Mac where it's a slow load, but nothing like on the linux box
where I am all day long)
Fightlinker without gay porn would be a sad gray world.
It's any page of the blog, radio forums and store behave normally.
This started about 4 weeks ago.
On the linux box Firefox freezes completely for about 30 seconds,
on the Mac it's only the tab Fightlinker is in that freezes right after
loading the top article on the page, both Safari and Firefox.
BTW, since I'm here, do you guys have an RSS feed?
I took your advice and started using google reader and it's awesome.
YES! Thanks for the RSS link. Oddly Google Reader can't find that when you search for "Fightlinker" using the "Add a Subscription" button. Anyhow it's nice to get your posts again without having to wait for the browser to get unstuck.
Now if there was only a way to get members-only posts in Reader(hmmm-is there?).
(PS--Contrary to what I said before, it's any Fightlinker page with the sidebar that sticks)
