I'm not a fan of 'recap' posts, because they usually reek of being a lazy way to write a new post without actually having to write a new post. But Steve Cofield (who crossed over from Mr Sunshine to Yahoo Sports this year) has taken the time to write a kickass summary of the year in MMA, breaking down all the news from big shit like Standgate to stuff you might have forgotten like Yushin Okami's blogging habits to stuff you might have never heard about like the first MMA streaker. All in all, a great list and a great way to remember the year that was ... way better than all those 'Best KO / Sub / Fights' lists that are currently spreading across the blogs faster than genital warts amongst high school seniors.  And for extra irony in a post about how Ryan doesn't like list posts, Ryan links to Fightlinker getting Cofield's best list.Which I only draw attention to because I'm the asshole wrote the meanest parts. :-)  bloody anus also has a recap and mention this page :)  I'm putting forth a motion that Bloody Elbow will now only be referred to as Bloody Anus.
