 Midsy was on the De La Hoya / Pacquiao conference call today and asked Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer if the company was still going to co-promote Affliction's second event on the same date as a Antonio Margarito-Shane Mosley fight. Here was Schaefer's response:"I don't want to talk about it right now," Schaefer said. "We're still trying to finalize it. The one thing I know for sure is that Antonio Margarito and Sugar Shane Mosley will be fighting on January 24." Just more fuel to the fire that the Golden Boy / Affliction relationship is about as hot and heavy as a bag of ice dumped down your pants.  Remember when TSG#1 billed this partnership as one that would change the face of MMA as we know it?LOL Nice call Tom. Nice call.  Its just kind of funny as all hell that in the end tthe team up that was sapose to help affliction the most is what will be hurting them the most for there 2nd show. I don't care how any one at Affliction or Golden Boy wants to spin these shows happening on the same day its Golden boy saying to Affliction we really don't give to shits about you or MMA and really are not going out of our way to help you grow !!!! There is no dout at all the De La Hoya / Pacquiao fight will take away PPV buys from Affliction the question is how many. This is just cherry on top of lets not forget the 2 UFC shows the week before and the week after Affliction.Every one who knows anything about MMA could not get over why Affliction would put there 2nd show in between 2 UFC shows. This in most peoples mids is what is going to kill there numbers in especially now with state of the economy. I just hope and I know its a BIG ass HOPE that Affliction can just brake even or make a little profit so we can atleast see a 3rd show. I guess at this point I will just be happy to see the 2nd run some still have question if we will see the 2nd show or not ?????  So on one hand, Mr Schaefer shows (or at least feigns) disinterest in the subject itself. That's followed up, in the next breath, with a doubt-instilling 'we're still trying to finalize it,' and topped off with an explicit mention of a fight that IS actually happening that night, that Golden Boy DOES actually give a shit about, and THAT is a fight he'd be happy to talk about. No mention of Fedor/Andrei, Affliction or MMA.What a fucking clown. Thats Another thing subo hits on above. What I have found really werad is Golden Boy has not promoted or said shit about this 2nd Affliction show up to this point. There is nothing on there website, All the Golden Boy adds I see all over Manhattan for De La Hoya / Pacquiao say nothing about Affliction 2.The Metro North Train ride down to New York there are adds for Golden Boy all over and nothing for Affliction. Dam you would think Golden Boy would of at least gave them a corner on some of the adds or put up a few adds for Affliction alone. When it comes to Golden boy there is nothing in New York City promoting the 2nd Affliction show. I don't understand this partnership at all its seems pretty one sidded to me ?
