  There's been a bit of confusion regarding what's going on with Mirko Crocop and Alistair Overeem on New Year's Eve. Overeem is doing everything short of killing Mirko's family members in an attempt to draw the Croation into the ring with him. Mirko on the other hand has made various waffling statements on the subject, and now it looks like he will fight on New Years Eve, but not against Overeem.This has obviously pissed off Overeem, who sees Crocop as ripe pickings and a ride to the top of the Japanese heavyweight scene (whatever that's worth nowadays). He spent the past week calling Mirko chicken, coward, craven, wimp, yellow belly, and whatever other mean words he could find in his thesaurus. This has resulted Mirko releasing the following statement: "I don't want the public to think that I'm afraid of him, if Overeem doesn't want to wait for New year's eve or some other date next year to fight me. If he doesn't believe I don't get to choose my opponent and that maybe Dream doesn't want us to fight on New year then he can come to Zagreb next weekend and we can fight in my cage with neutral referees." The chances of this happening are obviously slim, but we can hope, can't we? The situation between Alistair and Mirko has hit a boiling point where it is conceivable for Overeem to accept, just to try and call Crocop's bluff. Who knows what happens after that, but it'd be entertaining however it went down. I hate to say its sence CroCop is one of my all time favorite fighters but its claer to me he is ducking Overeem and wants nothing to do with fighting him again. You know dam well If Mirko wants this fgiht on NYE Dream will put it on. Its buy far the Best fight that would be the biggest draw that bolth of them could be in. Thats makes no sence at all that Mirko would say that it. Dreams/FEG said right after the last when it endeed in the No Decison the rematch would be on New Years. Mirko Mirko what happend to that fighter who was buy far the 2nd best HW in the world and destroyed every one he faced. Remember how dam good Mirko looked and how unstopable afterwinning that prdie open weight tournament. Its like I am watching a different fighter now sence he joined the UFC. Its like his shitty long lost twin brother killed him and took his spot in MMA !!!! Wow talk about going from glory to the gutter. I wish nothing more for CroCop to be back on top and a top 3 HW again. I keep thinking every time he fights the old crocop will come back and every time I get more and more disapointed in him. Remember how many people just worte in CroCop into not only winning that UFC HW belt but holding onto that belt for years until Fedor came into the UFC. How things have changed with CroCop and mma in general in that short amount of time. I was one of those people who thought Mirko would take that belt so dam easy. That GG High kick was what killed Cro Cops MMA carrer probably forever ? He is just not the same fighter he ounce was after that Kick. Has there ever been whispers about steroids with CroCop? I thought he looked smaller when he came to the UFC. yes sadly there has not only with CroCop but alot of the Top pride guys its been brought uo like Shogun,Wandy,Arona,Filho,etc I have even been thinking myself that he might of been using roids becasue Something is up with crocop, I have never seen a fither fall from the top like he has. Its not just like with other figthters where you can point to one thing like the game of MMA has passed him buy the fighters are getting better,etc Its like the Cro Cop who came over to the UFC was a whole different fighter then the one in Prdie. Cro Cop should forget about NYE and just get his knee surgery done. He doesn't stand a chance in hell against Overeem without being 100%. Not saying that Cro Cop would beat Overeem at 100% since it's probably true at this point to say that the game probably passed Cro Cop by but that's the only way he's going to be able to have a decent chance to shut up his critics. i want to see chuck vs cro cop and then both of them retire Shoc: I don't think it's roids. If that were the case, wouldn't we be seeing the old Cro Cop now in Japan, where he can use roids?  I wonder what it would take to get Overeem to sign with the UFC. There aren't enough high caliber European fighters. I've always figured since steroids were legal in pride, there wasn't really anything unethical about using them since it wasn't against the rules.  We need a RoidZ FC. Some form of steroid or meth is mandatory.
