I know everyone has been waiting to hear what we have to say regarding the "Fedor letter" from M-1 vice president Jerry Millen, but it just hurts my brain too much to think about it. Simply put, all this bullshit doesn't matter. At all. Fedor isn't going to fight in the UFC. It's not like the UFC hasn't tried to sign him several times. But Fedor won't fight for them. So why should I give the tiniest shred of a shit regarding what he and his camp has to say about Brock Lesnar, Anderson Silva, and the UFC?

It doesn't surprise me that Fedor is drooling over the idea of a fight with Brock Lesnar. He likes his fighters big and unexperienced after all. If it ain't fatties or giants, its the winner of some pathetic reality show. A WWE superstar fits into that collection of characters quite nicely.

But you know what? I have no respect for a guy who calls out the people he thinks are easy pickings. Where the fuck was Fedor after Mirko CroCop had won the 2006 Pride Openweight Grand Prix? Josh Barnett has been calling out Fedor for years as well. And when the UFC re-signed Randy Couture with the promise of doing whatever it took to set up Couture vs Fedor, Fedor went and closed all the loopholes in his Affliction contract so the fight still couldn't happen.

Fedor is a great fighter ... one of the greatest fighters. But he doesn't do himself any service by allowing his name to be attached to these kinds of statements, nor does he bolster his reputation by talking down fighters in an organization he refuses to fight for. The whole thing reeks of chickenshit theatrics. Personally, I got sick of that crap after 2007 involved Fedor fighting Matt Lindland and Hong Man Choi. The fact that he fought and dismantled Tim Sylvia in 2008 doesn't absolve him of the past three years of absolute bullshit. No matter how awesome those 36 seconds were, they simply don't.

So rather than release bullshit statements that distort reality, how about Fedor just go out and fight the best. Please. Don't run off to Japan to fight the latest freak flavor du jour. Fight Andrei Arlovski. Fight Josh Barnett. After that I have no idea who else you can fight, but stop fucking around with dudes who have no business in the ring with you. Try to not fuck over promotions so badly that they go out of business. Ditch your leech management team who refuse to allow any deals that don't involve massive irresponsible kickbacks. Stop acting like the kind of cocksucker athlete we left other sports to avoid.

I couldn't agree more.

I love me some Fedor. I think he is baddest P4P fighter in the world. But he has one glaring weakness, and that is that he let's his borderline criminal manager fuck up every good deal he has ever been offered.

Finklestein was a MAJOR player behind the Pride Yakuza scandal (his booking of Fedor at Inoki Bom Ba Ye prompted DSE to bring the Yakuza out of the shadows in an effort to stop him).

He killed off M-1 Global by reneging on verbal bout agreement, effectively allowing him to steal a big chunk of cash from Sibling Entertainment and fuck Monte Cox in the poop chute.

He sabotaged the UFC deal by insisting that the UFC sign all of his clients (The Red Devil fight team) and allow him to use the UFC name in promoting his M-1 MixFight events in Russia.

He damn near killed Affliction by booking Fedor to fight a freakshow three weeks before their January event, and only backed off once Affliction further sweetened pot on his gigantic salary.

Finklestein is scum. I wish Fedor would grow a pair and fire his ass.

Actually I've been waiting to hear what you have to say about Bellator/ESPN Deportes. I need to temper my expectations but so far it sounds like it has potential to actually be good.

Well put! Fedor still has a few UFC-hating apologists around, but their number is dwindling.

Dana and the ufc have beant over backwards to sign this drama queen! But it's always some other ridiculous term Fedor insists on. If Fredo had inked a 3 year deal with the ufc back in 2005 -- and he's as good as he things he is -- he would be the king of the ufc right now. A marquee athlete, more successful than GSP, Anderson Silva and BJ Penn combined. He would have raked in millions of dollars in purses and endorsements. And most importantly, he could now hold Dana White's feet to the fire on negotiating a new contract.

Instead, he's still an unknown fighter and his fans are starting to turn on him. Does Fedor really think his management team is doing right by him? Have they really made him more money with their strategy than he would have made as undisputed heavy weight king of the ufc?

Hear, hear!

ive been saying the same thing since the Lindland fight

pwdmarcelo is absolutely right. The UFC can make anyone a superstar, especially to the non-hardcore. Just look at Chuck; the mad was certainly most badass two years ago, knocking dudes out left and right, but it was Dana and the UFC that made him huge. If Fedor had Goldberg and Rogan spewing shit about his "unorthodox striking," or "devastating ground and pound," during every one of his fights, and Dana saying shit like "Fedor scares me," all the time, he'd be a huge draw. They could market the shit out of him, especially because he's Russian and hurts people. If that sounds familiar it's because it's fucking Rocky IV in real life, and every fan would buy his PPVs just to see if Apollo Creed can beat Ivan Drago this time.

Finklestein also fucked up Randy Couture's relationship with the UFC. When Randy heard what the ufc was offering Fedor, he went off the deep end!

At this point, Fedor has got to be questioning what his management has done. Let's see Mir and Big Nog get weekly exposure on national television from TUF. Randy and Brock are all over ESPN, figting in the one of the biggest ufcs ever.

And where is Fedor? Losing fucking sambo mataches, fighting for a promotion that is on its last legs and writing stupid letters to the ufc.

Good work team Fedor!!
godzillad
The worst part was them saying the UFC is "clearly" anti-Fedor.

"The worst part was them saying the UFC is "clearly" anti-Fedor."

Well, there's probably some truth to that now. I'm sure Dana is pissed off at Fedor's management and probably won't even take their calls now. I'm going to guess that Dana will never negotiate with that management team again. Fedor would probably have to reach out personally to Dana to get a hearing.

The day Fedor takes being the best HW in the world seriously, Dana White will make him the most well compensated mixed martial artist in history.

Fedor isn't concerned with being the best fighter in the world.

I'd rather root for, and watch, someone who is.

ughh blah..blah..blahh I like Fedor, but he just needs to go away maybe retire or just move to Alaska.

he's the biggest tease in MMA. At least I admire Randy for taking risks in his career waaaayy more often compared to the Russian PrimaDonna who handspicks his opponents. Even if the hardcores consider him P4P king, I still favor A. Silva (despite Dana's marketing) who's always game for anyone, anytime. The same goes for BJ and GSP,
Too many f@cking requirements for Fedor, too many hoops to jump through. He's resting too much on his laurels and have been semi-retired since 3 years ago. He's too protected by his people, because it has come down to a point where a single loss would send his stock plummeting.
FRANKIE
Damn you're a bunch of whiny fucks. Fedor's fighting Arlovski in January. After that he'll fight Barnett if Josh is willing (and that bullshit about Fedor ducking Josh is hilarious, Ryan). If he wins both of those fights he's beaten everybody who's worth a shit in his division. Why should he go to the UFC where he can't get either of those fights? To beat the piss out of Nogueira again?

FIGHTLINKER. i could'nt agree more. my main arguement with all the fedor fanatics isnt" why doesnt fedor come to the ufc" it's "why is'nt he ALREADY fighting in the ufc". at the time fedor was in negotiations with fedor/finklestein and the boys, the ufc not only offered him the most money than any fighter they ever had they also had randy, big nog, crocop, arlovski, sylvia, herring, werdum, kongo, gonzaga and mir ALL UNDER CONTRACT at the time. the only big name fighter they didnt have was barnett and barnett wont fight him(he's turned him down twice to my knowledge). there was no way possible that fedor could have known that randy would leave, or that sylvia or arlovski would be let go or that there would be an Affliction for him to fight in. instead he chose to sign with m1-global and signed to fight choi(a joke). i know that the ufc's contracts can be stern, but it's the same contract EVERY fighter has to sign. fedor(when i say fedor, i usually mean his management b/c i dont think fedor has a clue) was the one who had way too many special demands. i think his management saw what happened to fedor's biggest challenge in pride, mirko, and steered clear of the ufc to protect his "unbeaten record". fedor's fanatics will also tell you how bad dana talks about fedor and "disrespects" him, but that was all after the fact, after fedor turned them down, not before. when dana and the fertittas say fedor is'nt relevant, they mean since he's not in the ufc, why should he be relevant? fedor gets bagged on so much isnt b/c fans dont think he's great, it's b/c they get tired of hearing how great he is without having to actuallyf ight. is it too much to ask for a fighter to fight? just my 2 CENTS.
brent
correction: why should he be relevant when he's not fighting for them.
Bling Crosby
I don't give a fuck who Fedor is fighting and when. It's the height of bullshit to call out the new and inexperienced champion of the organization you've spent over a year stonewalling.

Fedor needs to get his buddy Putin to throw Finklestein's ass into a gulag camp.
Schrute Boxe
"unexperienced"?
Captain
Yeah Barnett calls out Fedro and then refuses to fight him and then Fedro refuses to fight Josh and so on and so on. Who knows. They're both full of shit.
Schrute Boxe
lol is Fedro like the hispanic last emperor?

VOTE FOR FEDRO!!! HE OFFERS YOUR PROTECTION!!!!
Bling Crosby
Unless it involves doing something hard that is.
Schrute Boxe
mind you, by looking what just happened to Fitch, I kinda don't blame Fedor for not signing with the UFC.

(He still should solely be going after top competition though)
