  If Fabricio Werdum has really been released from his UFC contract, it's news to him:"I'm surprised with this news. My sister is my manager and shes the one that deal with the UFC and she always contact me first before every decision is made and from what I know UFC didn't contacted her. I still have 4 more fights left on my contract until 2010. From what they told me I should fight in February, July, November and April of 2010. In fact, I'm moving to the USA because I'll prepare for those fights in the UFC with Rafael Cordeiro." said Werdum that is finishing all the details to move to USA in December... So according to Fabricio, he's still under contract. But it's important to note that the UFC has deleted his bio from their website, which is usually a good way to tell if someone has been shitcanned. Is this another case where the fighter is the last person to know about what's going on with his career? Or did MMA Weekly make a little factual oopsie on this one?  I really really Hope MMA Weekly did not base this info on a deleted bio from a website and no other info or facts besides that to back this up ? If so Wow and if its not true all together MMA Weeklys creditability takes a BIG Hit !!!  im not sure a deleted bio is a good source since they still hae bio's up for people who haven't fought in years great point Clint they have Nakamura, Schoenauer, Tito, Lutter, and sad to say Evan Tanner It looks like Sherdog pulled the Stroy of Werdum getting canned !  it just doesn't make sense for them to release him at this moment. this "news" is very suspect. It really does not make any sence at all if its true he is a top 10 HW and the UFC's HW devision is in need of talent. The only reason I could see if this was true was Werdum wanting some crazy amount of cash on his new contract ? other then that Why the hell would they release a Top 10 fighter they were not paying that much for ????? Okay let's all take bets on it now. My bet: He's gone.  If he's still there, who's his next match-up? If he's not there, who cares? He's not a draw even though a he's a solid heavyweight and UFC can bring him back anytime. It is always a great selling point to have a talented fighter fight to rebound from a loss. Based on stats and marketability it would make no sense for the UFC to drop Werdum btw thank you fightlinker for being so current on mma news. dana should hire you Hehe, all I'm good at is saying fuck and unfortunately that's Dana's speciality already
