Fickett / Shields conveniently cancelled

Man, Drew Fickett is a total fuckup (which is why we like him most of the time). Entertaining aspects of Fickett being a fuckup include his drunken escapades and his participation in a band called Cock Sandwich. Less awesome fuckups include claiming to be injured so he couldn't fight Jake Shields in Hawaii this past weekend, but then turning up on the Fight Finder as fighting at the beginning of June. Oops.
EliteXC is apparently pissed and are planning to have Shields fight on their July CBS event against a non-Fickett opponent to be named later. This actually works out nicely for the promotion since Fickett was already booked to fight Ryan Ford in Canada around the same date and was unavailable. Currently rumored to be in contention are Nick "The Goat" Thompson and Jay Hieron.
