Dynamite: Not just freakshows

I know we’re spending a lot of time talking about Dynamite, but that’s because they keep announcing retarded shit with only days to go before the event. In comparison, UFC’s offering has been set in stone for about a month and I really don’t give all that much of a shit about how Rashad, Forrest, Frank, and Nog all think they’ve got the edge coming into their fights. Newsflash! Fighter thinks he will win fight! Yeah, no.

Anyways, I thought it might be good to recap the entire lineup for Dynamite to remind you of how awesome it looks:

New Dream-Rule Fights
Yukio Sakaguchi 3-3-0 vs. 1-1-0 Andy Ologun
Hayato “Mach” Sakurai 33-8-2 vs. 2-5-1 Katsuyori Shibata
Bob Sapp 9-3-1 vs Kinnikuman aka Akihito Tanaka 0-0-0

New K-1 Rule:
Alistair Overeem vs. Badr Hari

Previously announced:
K-1 Rule
Gegard Mousasi vs. Musashi
Tatsuya Kawajiri vs. Kozo Takeda
Yoshihiro Sato vs. Artur Kyshenko

Kazushi Sakuraba 24-11-1 vs. 32-13-2 Kiyoshi Tamura
Joachim Hansen 19-7-1 vs. 14-2-1 “JZ” Gesias Cavalcante
Mirko “CroCop” Filipovic 23-6-2 vs. 1-1-0 Hong Man Choi
Mark Hunt 5-4-0 vs. 3-1-1 Jerome Lebanner
Shinya Aoki 18-3-0 vs. 15-1-0 Eddie Alvarez
Semmy Schilt 25-14-1 vs. 3-0-0 Mighty Mo
Hideo Tokoro 21-14-1 vs. 18-9-0 Daisuke Nakamura

K-1 Youth Tournament Semi-Final (Final held same night):
Hiroya vs. Shota Shimada
Tatsuya Kusakabe vs. Koya Urabe

I had actually forgotten about half the fights going on this card … Sakuraba vs Tamura, Hellboy vs JZ, Hunt vs LeBanner, and on and on and on. I think everyone has been paying so much attention to the freak fights that we’ve completely ignored all the seriously awesome ones.
