Dana White is all over the place trying to convince people that Georges St Pierre vs Nick Diaz ISN’T happenning. He first showed up on the Underground forums to deny it and then did the same with MMA Junkie. Now the cock crows as he invites Heavy.com into the UFC offices to say nay again:
“That fight is not a done deal and I guarantee that those two will not be coaches. Not even close, all this stuff that’s out there about that fight and the meeting that we had here was all bullshit.”
So we will not be seeing that at UFC 140 in Montreal?
BUT IS HE LYING?
I don’t blame him if he is. Teensy tiny MMA reporter Megan Olivi makes a rookie mistake by taking the UFC’s carefully crafted ‘The fight is not a done deal’ answer and bulling forward with a yes / no question that Dana actually has to give a definite answer to. As we learned via various Brock Lesnar and TUF situations, El Baldo Presidente will lie when needed but it’s usually for a reason. Could ongoing negotiations with Showtime be that reason?
OR IS HE SIMPLY TELLING THE TRUTH???
Wouldn’t this just blow everyone’s mind! I mean, we have oh so much evidence: a report from MMA Weekly and a press release from Nick’s manager and the boxing promoter Nick will work with if the fight doesn’t happen. And think of all the wishful thinking! There’s tons of that too! How could we ever be wrong about this?
