Choking Heath out was the best thing Babalu ever did

Yeah, everyone’s talking like Babalu is gonna ‘lose his job’ or get fined some retarded amount of money. Truth of the matter is the worst Nevada will be able to do is fine him up to $5000 and maybe suspend him for up to 6 months. And guess what? Knowing Babalu (we spent a wonderful summer together at band camp, or Acampamento da Faixa as it’s called in South America), this is probably going to be his response:

NSAC: We hereby suspend you for 3 months and fine you $2000 for choking David Heath out after your bout was over.

Babalu: Can I get a receipt for the fine? I want to frame it and put it on my wall.

Babalu isn’t rich enough to not care at all, but I have no doubt he’s going to consider it money well spent. Past getting to choke out a guy he doesn’t like, he’s also no longer known as “That guy who got tooled by Chuck Liddell”. Just like Tim Sylvia upgraded from “That guy who shit his pants” to “That boring guy no one likes”, I think “That guy who practically murdered David Heath” is a step up for Babalu, even if this whole fiasco is just a lot of hot air.

This is all going to make him more money in the long run anyway.

  • Andrej says:

Finally Someone who is saying the right thing. Fuck David Heath he should show some damn respect to Babalu.

  • DJ Hapa says:

Where did you get your info on the maximum penalties the NSAC can impose on Babalu?

  • Rollo the Cat says:

I said it before, but the biggest problem with what happened in that match was that Babalu didn’t seem to know what he did was wrong. It wasn’t a “mistake” or bad judgement in the heat of the moment, it was typical Brazilian Brazilian-Jiu -Jitsu BS. From Rickson pulling the towel out of the ring, to Renzo and Ralph kicking and stomping people after the bell, to all sorts of cheating. It is typical of the culture of BJJ and if the powers that be are smart, they will come down on him hard for that reason. The amount of damage is not the real issue.

I think it’s typical of every combat sport in the world and even in pro wrestling.

It’s definitely not the image the UFC wants to promote for MMA but I wonder if Dana won’t sign a rematch. It would definitely sell tickets.

There is something wrong with you and Babaloser not seeing anything wrong with what he did…

Allot of people talk smack prefight… but the fans respect most those who show civility at the end of the battle…

even Ortiz and Rashad showed class after their heated battle…

but these things have a way of balancing themselves…

shame Pride is over and done with… a bunch of axe kicks and stomps to the face on a prone laid out Babaloser before the referee could jump in to stop it would’ve been just the treat…

I’m not sure about Babalosers contract but I think the UFC will not condone or resign him to a further deal… he can go ply his trade in the Gracie Fighting Championship lol…

class and respect are fine…but disrespect and classlessness are more interesting.
