Cecil Peoples is still the best

Most of Cecil Peoples’ recent suckiness has come while wearing his judging cap, but here you can see that he still does a terrible job as a referee too. The guy’s got a long history of being out of position and missing kinda important parts of the fight – like the ending and stuff. Here he is missing a clear tapout. Gotta love what follows – it’s like the other fighter is paralyzed in amazement that he won the fight but it didn’t end.

Two more Great Moments In Cecil Peoples Refereeing after the jump.

  • Son of Xenu says:

You got to love that not only did he miss the tap, he lets two hammer fists to the back of the head go.

  • Reverend Clint says:

no one talk shit about cecil or they might not be able to fight in Nevada

  • CAP says:

Sad part is in the main video he is in good position but still didn’t see the tap.

This guy must give really good head cuz I have no idea why he’s still employed by any commission. I cringe when they announce his name.

  • Reverend Clint says:

affirmative action bro… gotta have two black guys reffing/judging at all times

  • DJ ThunderElbows says:

That takes Cecil to a whole new level of terrible.  I thought we had gotten to every level of terrible an official could attain, but today I am enlightened.

  • Symbul says:

His botched missile attack in that gif is killing me.

  • Smitler says:

What kind of asshole celebrates a win like that?
    After clearly tapping?
MMA fighters should agree to never fight such a man.

  • frickshun says:

I would like to rape Cecil with a pineapple.

  • Letibleu says:

“The fans and all the naysayers, I don’t worry about. I don’t back down because it’s not popular. My thing is, Rua did hit him more. But Machida hit him harder, especially in the early rounds. I’m really perplexed about how you give (Rua) [Round 1], because Shogun was kicking (Machida) a lot in the legs, but every time he kicked him in the legs, he got hit in the face. Shogun would put his hand up, and Machida would go right through, sweat’s flying off (Rua’s) face. Shogun kicked (Machida) in the belly –- that’s how he got the red mark. But you gotta remember, Machida is stepping back, so when he gets kicked, he’s getting brushed. But he counters Shogun with a hard kick to the belly. Which one counts more for the exchange? I give it to the (second one), because it was harder. It wasn’t brushed. Machida was controlling that round because he was dominant in not getting beat up in that round. He was the general in that first round. I give the fight to Machida in a very, very close fight. Now you’re pissed off because it’s my fault that you lost your money. No, it’s not. It’s Machida’s fault. If you don’t like it, you can go to hell.”

In the following video, forward to the 6:30 mark.

    Threesome with Cecil Peoples

“He took a punch, and he took another punch. He started to stumble back and fall down. I looked at his face, and I knew he was dinged a little bit, but not that bad. He was dinged. He goes down. He hits the floor. Now I was running, and everyone thought I was running to stop the fight. I wasn’t running to stop the fight. I was running to get close in case I had to stop the fight. Before I get there Nate Quarry hits him again with a hard, and I’m talking about a hard right hand…and before Nate could hit him again I was already there because I was running to there, so I grabbed Nate and I held on to him. I said that’s it”.

  • Letibleu says:

The best one. His explaining his logic with the Machida Shogun 1 scoring

  • CAP says:

He’s a legend. For all the wrong reasons.
