Big Nog is old

I’ve fallen and I can’t get up

Nog got his hip fixed, like your grandma, and is looking to fight in Rio. The dude is only 34 but has the body of Ernest Borgnine. He can still make for a good fight but I don’t see him lasting as long as Randy Couture or even Mark Coleman. I don’t know who he should fight but I’ll still watch it, even is he is on the Sakuraba path.

  • YEAH RIGHT says:

Yeah, he may only be 34 but in fight years he’s 89.

  • iamphoenix says:

in fight years he may be 89 but fights like he sucks. Which he does. Suck. Because he doesn’t win. He also looks like an idiot. One of those idiots who are 34 years old, but in fight years he’s 89 and fights like he sucks. Which he does…

  • Fedor.Hadouken says:

The funny thing is he is still on most peoples top 10 HW list.

  • mamoru says:

Ernest Borgnine? That’s a bit harsh, no?
I mean, Ernest is no spring chicken, but I don’t think he’s Nog level fucked up.

  • Reverend Clint says:

you know what keeps Ernest Borgnine fit? masturbating. seriously.

  • repenttokyo says:

    borgnine is still fucking alive.

  • glassjawsh says:

not every day i laugh at a borgnine joke.

  • Omomatta says:

Listen you pack of retards……All of you are hurting Frick’s feelings right now……he’s old and falling apart just like Big Nog. And seriously……….he’s doing pretty fucking well for being run over by a fucking truck.

  • SST says:

If Nog fought his Pride fights under UFC rules with UFC refs, he would have lost most of his fights due to early stoppage. Nog has always been one of my favorite fighters and it always hurts to see him lose. I still contend that if his UFC losses were fought in Pride he would have pulled off a sub after getting beat on for 3 minutes (even the Mir fight).

  • G Funk says:

I still can’t see where they officially ruled that fight a KO. TKO maybe, but NOG wasn’t out.

  • agentsmith says:

Nog looks old alright… in the archeological sense.

  • P W says:

    “Nog got is hip fixed”

    Nog got HIS hip fixed.

  • Reverend Clint says:

im writting as if im gsp

  • agentsmith says:

Dis guy really cross da line.

  • mamoru says:

“I still can’t see where they officially ruled that fight a KO. TKO maybe, but NOG wasn’t out.”
I don’t get why there’s a difference between a KO and a TKO in mma.
In sports with a count a KO is not meeting the count, doesn’t mean someone’s out at all, just that they can’t keep fighting after the count.

And a TKO is anything else that stops the fight (doc check for cut, towel, whatever the fuck else). So everything in MMA is a TKO, at least since Shooto got rid of the 8 count.

  • iamphoenix says:

…there’s no count in MMA what the fuck are you talking about.

  • frickshun says:

Thank gawd I have Omo advocating for me!!

  • mamoru says:

“…there’s no count in MMA what the fuck are you talking about.”

So what is the difference between a KO and a TKO in MMA?
Is it if the ref steps in before or after the person getting punched is out?
The distinction means nothing in a sport with no count, that was my point.

  • iamphoenix says:

TKO means a fighter is taking unnecessary damage/rocked real good and getting punched without intelligently defending himself where as a KO means a clean KO.

    distinction. as there should be.

  • MAYORofKALI says:

you don’t honestly think he’s really 34 do you?

  • subo says:

^ Having a twin brother makes lying about your age kind of hard.

  • G Funk says:

Mamoru is over analyzing without looking at the true meaning of the words itself.

  • mamoru says:

I just don’t get how there’s a big difference between a KO and a TKO in mma, is all. If you have a count, it’s clear cut. If it’s stopped due to not making the count, it’s a KO, if it’s stopped for any other reason it’s a TKO (or a DQ, or technical decision, whatever).

So, for example, the stoppage in the fight between Olaf Alfonso and Rob McCollough went from a TKO to a KO because the ref was at the opposite end of the cage picking up Alfonso’s mouthpiece instead of doing his job and protecting the fighters?

That’s just not very clear or effective use of language, is all.

  • iamphoenix says:

I just don’t know what you are talking about anymore.
