Am I the only one who thinks it’s a slap in the face that the UFC has decided to release more tickets to UFC83, but is selling them off auction-style? While I understand that capitalism is capitalism and money must be made, I’m still pretty sore over the fact that the event was sold out before tickets officially went on sale to the public (most of them ending up in the hand of cocksuckers who are trying to sell them on stubhub for 3x face value).
Now it looks like rather than figure out some sort of way to keep the remaining tickets out of scalpers’ hands, the UFC has simply decided to become the scalpers themselves: tickets go to the highest bidder, and the bidding starts at 500 bucks. No, this isn’t some kind of charity auction … all the money goes into the UFC’s pockets. As I said, this would be a lot less annoying if the average fan had actually gotten a fucking chance to actually buy normal tickets.
